'좋은 논문'의 이상적인 기준이란 게 있겠죠. 논문을 쓰는 당사자도 그 기준을 가지고 있고 지도하시는 교수님들도 기대치가 있을 것이고요. 그런데, '좋은 논문'을 충족시키기 위해 고려해야 할 것이 많고 무엇보다 생각이 많아지면 시간을 끌게 된다는 게 문제죠. 논문을 쓴다 쓴다 하면서 수 년이 지나도록 서론도 못 써보고 졸업을 아예 꿈도 못 꾸는 분들이 계십니다. 결론부터 말씀드리자면, 최소한 석사 학위 논문은 헤리포터 시리즈 같은 대단한 창작물을 내놓는 게 아니라 연구 경험이나 실험의 정리에 불과합니다. 객관적으로 퀄리티가 어떠하든 나의 논문을 하나 완성해 본다는 것 자체가 좋은 경험이고 공부가 되기 때문에 '죽이 되든 밥이 되든' 빨리 논문을 시작하고 끝내는 게 필요합니다. 학위 논문은 대개 글 재주나..
